Cow Town ResultsOn Saturday, February 8, the Silver Elite show choir competed at the Cowtown Show Choir Invitational at IM Terrell Academy. The choir performed incredibly well and earned the following awards: Best Female Soloist: Sarah Weissend Best Female Performer: Ashlyn Puzzuole Best Overall Choreography 2nd Place Overall 8th Grade NightChamber will be singing the National Anthem at the 8th grade night. Call time is 6:00 PM in Legacy Choir shirts!

Treble Night InLegacy and Jobe treble choir members are invited to a Treble Night In at Legacy High School. We will meet in the choir room at 5 PM for games, pizza, dancing, and a movie. You are encouraged to wear pjs but it is not required. You are welcome to bring blankets and pillows for the movie portion!

North texas show choir invitationalSilver Elite Show Choir will host the North Texas Show Choir Invitational on Friday, February 21 at the MISD CPA. This competition hosts schools from all around the state. Please consider volunteering to help on the day of this competition. Pre-AreaWe are so proud of the Legacy students that competed at pre-area on November 21st. The following students advanced to area auditions on January 11th, Stacie Morton, Kristianna Woller, and Aaron Wu. Holiday ConcertLegacy Choirs will preform at the Willie Pigg Auditorium at 8:00 PM following the Jobe MS Choir Concert. Legacy Choir students are required to attend the Jobe concert and Legacy parents are welcome to attend as well. Pledge Drive"Next Tuesday we will be holding our annual pledge drive in the choir room from 3-4:30! For the pledge drive you will need to provide ten credible contacts that you can call and ask for donations. These funds will be going the Legacy choral program as well as our upcoming colorado trip. Those in varsity, and or going on the trip are required to participate. We look forward to seeing you!" Sarah Weissend, Choir President.
Region Concert31 Legacy students were represented in the Region V 9/10, district treble, and region mixed choirs this weekend. They performed at the MISD Center for Performing Arts under the direction of esteemed clinicians, Thomas Rinn, Gloria Stephens, and Dr. Joey Martin. FriendsgivingPre-AreaThis Thursday is pre-area! We are taking 15 students to Martin HS to audition. These students have worked incredibly hard and we are excited for them to show their efforts. If you see one of these students this week give them encouraging words and wish them luck. Region ConcertThis Saturday is the Region 5 concert. The concert will take place at the Mansfield Center for Performing Arts at 5:00 PM. This concert is a culmination of the hard work of so many students on all-state and 9/10 music. Participants will need to check in at 7:45 AM so make sure you arrive early with music, a black binder, and pencils. If you need a black binder please see Ms. Lafferty or Mr. Powell. Over 30 Legacy students will represent Legacy at this concert.
