We will bring you up to date on upcoming socials, competitions and opportunities for your singer. Voice lessons provide our students with individual coaching and musical training. By choosing to participate in this program, students will receive high quality, individualized instruction from degreed professionals through which they will develop an even greater understanding of healthy singing and performance habits. Students enrolled in voice lessons through this program will benefit from extra educational opportunities including solo performances and master classes throughout the year. New YorkThe Legacy Choirs in conjunction with the Legacy Band and Theater departments are planning an educational trip to New York City for March, 2019. This trip is optional for all choir students. This is going to be an outstanding opportunity for students to visit New York and see sites like the Statue of Liberty and the 9/11 Memorial. We will also be seeing at least two Broadway Shows and participating in a workshop with members of a Broadway show cast. We hope that your student will be able to participate in this exciting opportunity! Please contact Mr. Powell with any questions. There will be members of our booster council attending Tuesday's meet the teacher night. We will be offering discounted choir merchandise and have our official parent merchandise for 2018-2019 order form available. We look forward to an exciting year! A Message from our Student OfficersHi, I'm Molly! I'm your student president! We just had our Freshmen Breakfast and it was a huge success! Thank you to everyone that came and participated! We have some great things happening this year! Speaking of which, we have tutoring/studying sessions after school on Monday's and Friday's. There will be several upperclassmen there to help you with your homework or help you study if you're struggling in a class. All of the upperclassmen have been or are in AP/TCC classes, and I bet at least one of us has taken the class you need help with. Or just come and study, or read your textbook like me, in an environment that is calm and easy to focus. I hope to see you there! Freshman BreakfastWe hope you've had a relaxing and fun summer. While you've been away, we have been working to prepare for August activities and the start of school. Below we will share some of the work we have done and exciting things to look forward to in the month of August. We have also added a leader to our Legacy Choral Department Family. Tuesday, August 21st, from 3:00-4:30pm Silver Elite will meet for rehearsal and a choreography assessment. Friday, August 24th, at 6:45am is the Freshman Breakfast. If you are a freshman come and eat free food and meet our wonderful choir officers! Chamber CampShow Choir CampThe week of the 6th was a busy one for Silver Elite! Our show choir was at the school Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. They have danced, laughed, and sweat their hearts out. They will resume after school rehearsals Tuesday the 21st from 3:00-4:30pm. Along with T-Shirts and competitions in the spring, the Legacy Choral Department depends on yearly choir fees. This years fees can be paid online (Click the link at the bottom of our homepage) or by cash/check brought to the choir room. Our handbook and yearly forms can be found on the forms page. The field trip release form must be turned in to us next week. All other forms will be completed online this year through google classroom. Students will be able to access google classroom next week and we will add the link to each class' page. Meet our Student OfficersHello from your Choir Officers for the 2018-2019 school year! We are proud to represent the choir and their accomplishments. We are starting something new this year; A study group! Every Monday and Friday students that would like help with school work can come after school on those days and get help from upperclassman and the choir officers. We encourage choir students to come to these study sessions so we can all be eligible for competitions and trips.
